The Fomor Chess Set is inspired from a time in Ireland when feuding was a way of life and the Fomor ruled the land.
The Formor were a rag-taggle bunch of warriors scavenging what weaponry they could. The Pawns use a small axe and dagger, the Knight uses a large axe and shield, while the King has a dagger and what spells he can conjure!

Fomor Chess
Through the mists of time comes the Fomor chess set. In a time when feuding was a way of life the Fomer ruled the land. They were a highly organised Celtic race having risen from the earth they were at one with it. They were known for their ability to reap the greatest reward from the land and were on a constant quest for more land. This lead them into many battles between themselves and others using what weaponry they could muster they took to the field.
The pawns using a small dagger and axe lead the advance while the knights with their large axe and shield kept the rear guard, the bishops or druids in league with the animals used their incantations to protect the warriors, the King and Queen drawing power from the earth used herbs and potions to strengthen them for battle and heal their wounds using a dagger and what spells he can conjure and the knight using a large axe and shield.
