Christmas 2010 I decided that all the Irish gifts I was going to buy that year were going to be made in Ireland – I was on a mission!

I thought it was going to be easy, but it wasn’t, thralling through gift shops I found that most of the shops were pretty much stocking the same products, basically the same old same old and very little seemed to be made in Ireland – even the more typical Irish brands and Irish looking products turned out not to be made in Ireland. So I browsed for Irish Gifts online and I was even more confused, not knowing if the products are actually made in Ireland or not. It was a real struggle, which really surprised me.

So the idea of Totally Irish Gifts developed – the ethos of the website would be to stock only Irish gifts, mainly Irish Crafts, made in Ireland. Lots of people said at the time I wouldn’t be able to source enough products made in Ireland – but they were wrong!

So, for the last two years I am safe in my knowledge that my Christmas Gifts are genuine Irish gifts, made by craftspeople from all over Ireland!
