This beautiful Grá-Love Ogham gift from Ireland is a unique wall hanging. Grá meaning ‘love’ in Irish. ‘Grá’, carved in Ogham on the wall plaque, reads from the bottom up. The words ‘Grá’ and ‘Love’ are carved along the bottom of the piece.
Ready to hang by one sturdy hook on the back of this wall hanging. Presented in a strong O’Gowna branded cardboard box.

Ogham is the earliest form of Irish writing dating from the 4th century mainly. Over 350 Ogham stones have been discovered around Ireland. It is also believed that Ogham was considered a magical script with inscription on wood similar to wands. However there are none in existence to confirm or deny this. It is thought to have been widely practiced by the ancient Druids as a form of sign language as the letters had no more than five characters which could be easily replicated using their hands.
