Sean Tomkins’ images of Ireland are double matted and and framed for a gift in a black handmade wooden frame.
Newgrange, Co. Meath, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Newgrange is a passage grave, but more recently thought of as an ancient temple, dating back to 3,200 B.C. built during the Neolithic/New Stone Age. Newgrange is a kidney shaped mound with an inner passage 19m long leading to a chamber. The wall and roof are built of large slabs of stone. Newgrange Ireland covers over one acre of land and many of its kerbstones are decorated with megalithic art. A circle of tall standing stones surround the mound, as seen in this photograph. Newgrange is amazing and not to be missed.
