A beautiful St. Brigid’s Cross. Handmade from 5,000 year old black turf from Ireland’s deepest ancient boglands. This cross is a traditional housewarming gift.
The turf for this gift is sustainably sourced from some of Ireland’s oldest boglands formed from partially decomposed vegetation, which has accumulated in waterlogged places for over five thousand years. The wet turf bog is fused using glue to create the cross shape, then dried in a kiln and processed for any extra carving into a beautiful Celtic Gift.
Ready to hang by a metal hook on the back.

The St. Brigid’s Cross has a strong tradition in Irish culture and folklore. This Irish Cross represents St. Brigid, who is Ireland’s 2nd patron saint. Traditionally the St. Brigid’s Cross is hung in homes to protect from fire and evil.
