The Triquetra, which literally means three cornered and also known as the Trinity knot, is one of the most recognisable of the Celtic knotworks. The Triquetra was also used to symbolise and honour the Mother, Maiden and Crone of the neo-pagan triple goddess, it signifies the three life-cycles or stages of womanhood in relation to the phases of the moon.
