For ease of distinction between the salt and the pepper mills, the top of the peppermill is turned from stained dark Sepele wood.

Each hand turned mill is fitted with a ceramic mechanism made by CrushGrind® Denmark , one of the leading grind mechanisms available. It can be used to grind not only peppercorns, but also salt and all sorts of dried herbs and spices. The mechanism has 14 settings and can be easily adjusted to dispense from a fine to coarse grind. This mechanism is ceramic which means it won’t rust. This Salt and Pepper Mill set comes with instructions on general description and guidance on how to use correctly and maintain.

The beautiful gift set is finished with Hardwax Oil, which gives a superior protection to the mills while maintaining the natural look of the wood. Hardwax oil forms a highly durable barrier against water, stains, heat, dirt and general wear and tear.

As with the nature of handcrafted wooden gifts, in particular the amazing beauty of spalted beech, each mill has a different grain.
