Michelle Butler set up her ceramics business in 1998, based in beautiful Omagh, Co. Tyrone. Michelle has a stone barn workshop and a small shop at her home in Omagh at the base of the Sperrin Mountains. If you are ever in the area drop by and say hello. You can also book a ceramic workshop there.

Michelle studied design and graduated from Falmouth School of Art. She specialises in the design and creation of ceramics.

Michelle creates a distinctive range of decorative giftware pieces made from a textured stoneway clay and finished with a variety of glazes and a rich metallic oxide. Each piece is hand built by forming, coil building or press moulding. Michelle’s unique style ceramics are handcrafted with wonderful patterns and overall rustic look and feel.

Michelle takes her inspiration for her beautiful ceramics from primitive traditional Celtic art and the beautiful countryside where her studio is located. This has enabled Michelle to develop a signature style, blending the traditional and the contemporary.
