Hairy Fruit Art – Helen McGee

Helen is a fine artist and illustrator from Delgany, Co. Wicklow. In 2013 Helen created Hairy Fruit Art and developed her passion for print design. Her unique range of Irish products are pretty and stylish. With a touch of whimsy. Her gifts are designed to bring joy to the giver and receiver. Helen handpaints and illustrates her designs in her signature style. She has developed collections of wall art, illustrated notepads, social stationery and more.

Helen has a special love of botanicals. She finds daily inspiration to create beautiful designs. She is surrounded by blackberry ditches and fields with grazing animals. Inspiring views of the beautiful countryside of County Wicklow, considered Ireland’s ‘garden county’. She has memories from her many childhood family road trips around Ireland. In a VW Minibus in the 60s and 70s. Her prints reflect these happy experiences. Her memories of Ireland’s wonderful landscapes also inspire her designs. Helen grew up in a creative family home. Her Mum is a fine artist and a great inspiration to Helen.

Helen is a member of the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.
