The Discovering Ireland Board Game was the first game developed by Gosling Games, Clonakilty, Co. Cork, which was founded by Mary & Graham in 1987 and has become a thriving business. While bringing up their children in West Cork, Graham and Mary ran a guest house welcoming visitors from all over the world. One of the best parts were the evenings when guests told them the amusing things that had happened on their journey that day, and asked for help in planning the next day’s itinerary. Out of that experience grew their first game, ‘Discovering Ireland’.
The Discovering Ireland Board Game is an ideal Irish gift for:
- Birthday Gifts
- Christmas Gifts
- Retirement Gifts
- Long school holidays!
- Bon Voyage Gifts
Gosling Games is a family-based business, based in County Cork. They create good old-fashioned fun & the opportunity for the kind of entertainment that is so hard to find in these hi-tech days. Mary & Graham believe an active mind is a happy mind. “We always try to invent games that will make participants think or learn something as well as have fun. We test every idea on our own family and friends first. Believe me, if there’s anything wrong with the prototype of a new game, we hear about it from the gang when they are all clustered around the kitchen table trying it out!”

Just received it the other day. Our son, 7, wanted it as he already has Discovering Europe, and being Irish, wanted to know more. Just as good and interesting as the other game, albeit with a few rule differences. This will see a lot of use!

We have received it and my youngest daughter who is 9 had this great idea to give this to her older sister and brother-in-law who is from Ireland. This game is perfect for us to learn more about Ireland. Thank you.
