This Harp Moon Brooch combines a crescent moon shape with the Irish harp, the official emblem of Ireland. Handcrafted in Co. Wicklow by Kieran Cunningham Jewellery, it is made from alpaca silver, brass and copper for warm mixed-metal colouring.

Story & Significance
The harp has represented Ireland since medieval times and remains the emblem of the Irish State, appearing on official seals and Irish euro coins. Ireland is unusual in having a musical instrument as a national emblem, and the modern state harp is based on the medieval harp preserved at Trinity College Dublin.
