The Fomor Chess Set is a handmade Irish chess set inspired by mythic Celtic warriors and battle imagery. The board measures approximately 38 x 38 cm, and the pieces range from approximately 6 cm to 8 cm.
The pieces are hand cast by O'Gowna Studios in a natural limestone colour, then finished with antique patina colours to distinguish the two sides: one in a blue-grey stone tone and the other in a warmer sandstone tone.

Story & Significance
Irish mythology is full of figures from the Tuatha De Danann, the Ulster Cycle and older heroic tales. Names such as Nuada and Cu Chulainn carry stories of kingship, courage, rivalry, loss and renewal rather than simple fantasy decoration.
