The turf pieces are moulded by hand, fired at high temperature and framed by Bog Buddies. The peat is sourced from non-conservation-worthy bogs, and the concept is supported by the Irish Peatland Conservation Council.

Story & Significance
Irish turf is dried peat from bogland, once cut by hand and stacked to dry before winter. For many families, especially in rural Ireland, turf belongs to memories of the hearth: the smell of the fire, the sound of conversation, and the work of bringing fuel home from the bog.
That gives a small framed turf carving more feeling than its size suggests. It is a keepsake of land, home and belonging, with Ireland's bogs also reminding us how peat landscapes have preserved remarkable traces of the past.
