Celebrate your bond with this beautiful Soulmate Ogham Photo Frame. Anamcara is the Irish for Soulmate. Anamcara is handpainted in black on cream handmade paper. Anamcara-Soulmate is written underneath. On a black background and in a black wooden frame.

Dimensions: 11″ x 12.5″ frame, incorporating a 3.5″ x 8″ Ogham writing section and suitable for a 4″ x 6″ photo (portrait).

Each Ogham gift is accompanied by an explanatory text outlining the history of Ogham writing. Ogham is a uniquely Irish gift. It is the earliest form of Ancient Irish script dating from c.4th century. Ogham has often been found inscribed on standing stones and in sacred places throughout Ireland. Over 350 Ogham stones have been discovered around Ireland. It is believed that Ogham was considered to be a magical script with inscription on wood similar to wands. However no such wands are still in existence to confirm or deny this. It is thought Ogham was widely practiced by the ancient Druids as a form of sign language.
