Ogham Slainte gift from Ireland. The word ‘Slainte’ is the Irish for ‘good health’. ‘Slainte’ is engraved in the ancient Celtic writing of Ogham on this wall hanging. Both the wording ‘Slainte’ and ‘Good Health’ are engraved under the Ogham script.
Approx dimensions: 3″ x 7 ”
Ogham wall hanging handcrafted from a bronze and limestone mix highlighted with gold leaf script, as these Ogham pieces are handmade there may be slight variations in size and shading, however, the same high quality of craftsmanship will apply to all pieces. Note: please allow for screen resolution & colour differences.
Ogham is the earliest form of Irish writing dating from the 4th century mainly. There are over 350 Ogham stones that have been discovered, it is also believed that Ogham was considered to be a magical script with inscription on wood similar to wands, however there are none in existence to confirm or deny this. It is thought to have been widely practiced by the ancient Druids as a form of sign language as the letters had no more than five characters which could be easily replicated using their hands.

Beautiful piece. My mistake that I did not pay attention to the dimensions; I wanted something larger for that price. But very well done.
